I dont know why as ive loved both bands for many moons but now that I made the connection between FSA and The Dead C its seems so incredibley obvious . Throw Jim O' Rourke into the mix and this ep is truely essential

Short and sweet, no wasted moments, subtle guitar lines make it easy to miss how inventive they are. I actually appreciate the live to tape recordings including whatever is going on in the background; it's not obtrusive. And some electronic dabbling. An intimate album fans of bedroom folk, Vashti Bunyan, etc will appreciate and love more with repeated listens.

If I ever need a meditative pause, either at work or home, Temple IV has always been one of my go-to albums. While the story behind the development of the music is sorrowful, the results feel more like an introspective yet hopeful therapy session, all without a single word being spoken. Even without the background, it feels like a mystical journey through both the familiar and unfamiliar. This album is a cornerstone of my musical journey, and it is wonderful to own a physical copy of it.
